Worship Pastor

Gateway Community Church is located in Wylie, Texas, a rapidly growing suburb in the northeast section of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Pastor Blake and his wife Shawn planted Gateway in 2001 and the church has grown to a weekly attendance of more than 600.

Gateway moved into its first building in October 2010 after many years of meeting in local schools. In 2015 the worship center was enlarged and renovated to accomodate growth. Currenlty, a 30,000 square foot addition designed for preschool, children and youth is under construction. The anticipated date of occupancy is May of this year.

Those who visit Gateway frequently comment about the friendliness of the people. We value and live out authentic relationships. The church also is known in the community as "A Fun Place to Get Serious About God." We love to have fun, but we also are serious about making passionate disciples, and lots of them!

Job Description

• Partner with the senior pastor to plan and lead worship services.
• Recruit and lead audio/visual and praise teams, including weekly rehearsals
• Create and maintain music resources and documentation
• Provide spiritual leadership and accountability for team members
• Develop and share vision for team and church growth
• Develop and manage worship ministry budget
• Maintain audio/visual equipment

• Born-again Christian with a clear calling into vocational ministry
• Visionary leader capable of executing his/her vision
• Spiritual depth that provides a positive role mode for praise team and congregation
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
