The primary purpose of this ministry position is to lead and oversee effective ministry to Junior High and High School students. All activities, events, and gatherings will be structured around this mission with Christ at the center and over all. • Pastoral leadership and ministry execution
  • Volunteer and team recruitment, training, empowering, and support

About Cornerstone Community Church

Cornerstone Moorpark began in 2002 as a mobile satellite campus to Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley led by then senior pastor, Francis Chan. A video of the Saturday night message in Simi would be shown on Sunday mornings to the Moorpark gathering. After meeting for a time at Mesa Verde Middle School, then in the PAC at Moorpark High School, we eventually settled in at Moorpark College, meeting in the cafeteria. By summer 2004, the Moorpark campus was thriving with its own children's ministry, men's and women's groups and events. Francis, along with the elders at Cornerstone Simi, made the decision to plant us as our own church and asked one of their associate pastors, Gordy Duncan, a 30-year resident of Moorpark, to take over as senior pastor.

On October 24, 2004, Cornerstone Community Church of Moorpark, Inc. was born. After five more years of being a mobile church at Moorpark College, in the fall of 2009 we began to look for a permanent home so we could offer midweek programs for our children and youth, discipleship classes for adults, and special seasonal events. The Lord provided the perfect space, and in June 2010 we moved into our new church home on Science Drive. In October 2014, we celebrated our 10th anniversary, praising God for His continued goodness, favor, and provision. We have been blessed to be a blessing to the Moorpark community and all the way to the ends of the earth--

Making disciples of Jesus Christ by SHARING His truth and living His ways.
