Responsibilities:
- Love Jesus and desire to bring people closer to Him through worship
- Lead and facilitate worship services, including selecting songs, leading the congregation in singing, and coordinating with musicians and technical teams
- Plan and organize rehearsals for worship team members
- Mentor and develop worship team members, providing guidance and support in their musical and spiritual growth
- Communicate effectively with the congregation, creating an atmosphere of worship and engagement
- Educate the congregation about the purpose and significance of worship through teaching and leading by example
- Provide leadership in creating a diverse and inclusive worship environment that reflects the congregation's values
Qualifications:
- Strong musical abilities, including proficiency in playing an instrument(s) and vocal skills
- Experience leading worship in a church or similar setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to mentor and develop others in their musical and spiritual journey
- Strong leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate a team
- Deep understanding of the purpose and theology of worship
- Ability to work collaboratively with other church staff members
Lead one worship service every Sunday at 10:15 for a small, diverse congregation that loves the Lord and is seeking someone to lead them into a time of worship.
There may be other services throughout the year, things like: Wednesday night Lenten services, quarterly worship nights with partner ministries, and the occasional wedding or funeral.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
