Job Description:

1.      Modeling Biblical Priorities

a.      Commit to a daily quiet-time with God.

b.      Lead a Victory Church LifeGroup on a regular basis.

c.      Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.

d.      Set appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity.

e.    Care for people in your ministry with regular phone calls and visitations as needed and communicate updates on life events to pastoral staff.

f.  Live an invitational lifestyle, inviting others to worship, serve and be a part of the teams you are forming.

g. Regularly utilize resources that will help with spiritual growth and leadership.

h.       Supporting the ministries of Victory Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.


2.      Oversee and Execute Monthly Youth Experiences

a.      Build and organize a leadership team for Youth LifeGroups, track participants and leaders for each LifeGroup semester.

b.      Actively encouraging LifeGroup leaders to connect with families and students during the week (visiting, coaching, discipling, etc.). Work with Family Pastor to on-ramp new LifeGroup leaders.

c.      Plan and implement relevant, Christ-centered, fun monthly or quarterly experiences for students with help of volunteer leaders.

d.      Build a team of volunteer leaders for monthly youth experiences, provide on-ramp for new volunteers.

e.      Implement a strategy to equip parents to help their students take their next steps toward Christ.

3.      Oversee and Execute Weekend Youth Experiences

a.      Develop a leadership team for Sunday morning LifeGroups for 6th-8th graders, track participants and implement a strategy to equip parents to help their students take their next steps toward Christ.

b.      Select relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum for weekend experiences for middle school students.

c.      Build a team of volunteers with the leadership team, provide on-ramp for new volunteers.


4. Oversee and Execute Youth Special Events

a.      Develop team for Youth Special Events.

b.      Plan and execute various events throughout the year to promote community and connection for students. (retreats, camps, day trips, etc.)

c.      Provide follow-up after each event to allow for students and families to be plugged into life groups and Victory Church as a whole.


5. Contribute to Family Team initiatives throughout the year

Attend monthly trainings with family team (kids, youth, early education)
Assist with special family events like Kids Camp, Big Days of Service, Youth Advance
Monthly weekend service host opportunities
Defining a win: The Youth Pastor wins when we are engaging Victory Church youth in an experience of God and the care of his family, and when life change, growth, equipping and outreach are happening within the teams who are leading the youth at Victory Church.

This position is full-time, and would report to the Family Pastor, Missy Knechel. It would require the following regular working hours:

-        Sunday morning and before call time through all services

-        Evening youth services, monthly

-        Flexible office hours through the week, both in-person and virtual, expected to equal 5.5 days per week (including Sunday mornings).

-        Attendance at weekly staff, prayer, office, and service review meetings plus one on one meeting with Family Pastor.

Included in the compensation package would be:

-        10 paid holidays per year

-        Two weeks paid vacation time

-        The offer of medical and dental insurance (premiums 75% paid by Victory, plus $1000 towards out of pocket expenses)


Qualifications

Proven team builder and leadership skills
Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Suite, also able to learn other
productivity software, “ internet savvy.”
Highly skilled with social media platforms and web-based productivity applications (Evernote, Asana)
 High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
Demonstrate professionalism and poise when communicating with external contacts.
Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Education

A bachelor’s degree is preferred. An adequate combination of experience and education will be considered.

Experience

The successful candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a youth leader or church leader.
