About:
High Plains Children's Home is a dynamic residential children's home located in Amarillo, Texas. We take children from Texas Child Protective Services, private placements and some children from juvenile probation. We have 2 boy's Cottages and 2 girl's
cottages. We also have a gym, and sports complex situated on our campus of almost 100 acres. High Plains children participate in sports, choir, showing animals at the Randall County Stock Show and other events in and outside their community. schools and churches.
Our goal is to help children become successful adults by overcoming the obstacles of a challenging childhood. All of our children attend school at Canyon or Amarillo ISD. We are a Children's Home established and supported by the Churches of Christ. Children
from ages 4-19 may come and live at High Plains until they are returned to their family, adopted by another family and some will remain with us until their High School graduation and beyond.
