Content Rights and Permissions
- Oversees IFLM’s rights and permissions processes, ensuring the highest levels of spiritual maturity and integrity in all facets
- Researches each sermon and original source information in detail to identify rights and permission needs for quotes, illustrations, and other broadcast-related content
- Works with publishers, attorneys, and other entities to clear all permissions for publication and distribution of IFLM’s printed, audio, and audiovisual materials
- Assists other departments and outside petitioners with content requests, adhering to IFLM’s content standards
- Documents all rights and permissions activity and ensures that relevant staff members are notified of appropriate attributions and copyright notices
- Assists with development and content of archive files, working with the archive specialist to ensure accurate and complete rights and permissions documentation for each series
Ministry Contract Review
- Reviews ministry contract content for various departments as requested
- Stores executed contracts for future reference
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and five or more years’ experience and/or training in related field
- Paralegal certification with experience in rights and permissions, copyright law, and contracts preferred
- Ability to apply reasoning skills to solve practical problems that involve a variety of both objective and subjective variables where limited standardizations exist
- High attention to details, superior organizational skills, and resourcefulness
- Ability to lead initiatives, anticipate, and prioritize work with minimal direction, and juggle several complex projects at one time
- Extremely professional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- Strong customer service orientation with an ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with constituents, publishers, attorneys, and ministry leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Humility, a high level of flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with others
- Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook
This is a full-time position—40 hours per week.
