Associate Pastor: Music

First Baptist Church Callahan, Florida is currently seeking God’s man to fill the role of Associate Pastor:  Music & Worship.  The church has been in existence since 1841.  For the past thirty-nine years the church has been under the leadership of Pastor D. Lynn Hyatt and has enjoyed significant growth over the last four decades.  Missions is the heartbeat of the church.  With an Acts 1:8 strategy of reaching our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria, and the Ends of The Earth with the Gospel of Jesus, the Music and Worship Pastor will be integral in teaching worship to the nations, and helping our people celebrate the victories of the Kingdom.

Callahan is a rural community in Nassau County.  It is a bedroom community of Jacksonville, Florida, located 15 minutes from the Jacksonville International Airport.  The Nassau County school district is one of the highest rated in the state of Florida.  Callahan enjoys close proximity to big city conveniences from a small town community.  If you desire to live in a neighborhood or own your own farm, Callahan offers both at a reasonable price.

Desired qualifications include, but are not limited to:

1. Provide leadership to a comprehensive worship ministry. 
   This includes planning, organizing, rehearsing, executing and evaluating weekly services with a high degree of excellence.  The ideal candidate will be able to lead in a band driven, culturally relevant atmosphere, with a pastor’s heart for a choir he will shepherd, as well as a proven ability to integrate a choir into a modern worship service.
2. Assist the pastor in planning all worship services.
3. Recruit, train, shepherd, and direct the instrumental, vocal, choir, and technical teams.
4. Working knowledge of Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Ableton Live, and best practices for maintaining necessary copyright licenses.
