Associate Pastor of Worship

The Worship Pastor is to work alongside of the Senior Pastor, providing the necessary leadership for organizing, directing, and managing a comprehensive Worship/Music Ministry for First Baptist Church of O’Fallon (MO).  Currently the Church utilizes a praise team, choir, orchestra and praise band.  Key areas of focus will be worship, music, media, and community outreach.

O'Fallon is among the fastest growing cities in Missouri and has been consistently rated as one of the best places in the US to live (https://247wallst.com/special-report/2016/10/26/americas-50-best-cities-to-live-in/). We are currently running about 750 people in two services.  In the past 12 months, our attendance has increased about 150 people, hired an Associate Pastor of Young Adults, paid off our church debt, and seen between 40 to 50 come to know Christ. We have recently renovated our worship center, to include a new lighting system, multi-media system, and sound system.  With a new pastor, available resources, tremendous volunteer base, we believe the Church is uniquely positioned to reach our community for Christ.

Our two services are identical and currently, "blended" in style, though we are open to making necessary style shifts to better reach our community.This could involve adding a third service or simply providing multipe options to our current approach.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and musically gifted.  

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Possess a call to vocational Christian ministry, with skills and passion in the area of worship leadership and music ministry. 

2. Full-time position

3. Licensed and Ordained

4. Full-time ministerial experience is preferred
