Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the month-end closing process to ensure results are timely and accurate.
  • Direct the preparation of monthly financial statements, supplemental reports and related analysis to facilitate monthly management review and decision-making.
  • Supervise accounting and finance staff related to GL, AP, AR, banking and cash management, job cost, revenue recognition, expense review, payroll and taxes to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Coordinate with Corporate support teams when applicable including Legal, Tax and Corporate Finance among others.
  • Ensure all internal controls are in place and complied with, and that policies are in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Implement and manage processes and procedures so that accounting records are prepared, maintained and reported in accordance with all applicable accounting requirements.
  • Perform economic modeling and business opportunities when required including revenue growth and/or cost reduction programs and other strategic initiatives. Recommend corrective actions to improve the profitability of projects and the business unit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent required.
  • Must be bilingual - English/Spanish.
  • CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • 5 or + years accounting experience required.
  • Must be familiar with financial analysis, accounting, auditing, and analytical experience.
  • Must be able to gather and merge all pertinent statistical data, use and demonstrate sound business analysis with strong spreadsheet skills using MS Excel.
  • SAP System experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently or in a team environment as situation necessitates.
