Who are we looking for

We are looking for a Senior Pastor who is:

  • Passionate about God and who has a heart to shepherd God’s people. 
  • Gifted in preaching and teaching the word of God.
  • Able to build and disciple leaders to fulfill Christ’s great commission.
  • A visionary that will help develop and implement the church’s long-term strategic plan.
  • Able to integrate the church ministries to fulfill the church’s purpose - to Love God, Love Others, Serve Others, and Share the Gospel.
 

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Meet the biblical requirements laid out in I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and I Peter 5:1-3
  • Clear testimony of personal salvation and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
  • A calling to be a pastor
  • Full agreement with and supportive of our statement of faith and our purpose
  • Demonstrate ability to lead the leadership team in shaping the spiritual direction of the church
  • Committed to the ministry of compassionate, personal care for his flock- providing biblical counseling, comfort, and restoration in times of spiritual need
  • As pastor he should commit to personal and regular accountability with other godly men, seeking from them encouragement and support in his role as pastor
  • Master of Divinity degree or equivalent higher education from an accredited evangelical seminary, and also have a proven record of pastoral experience of at least 5 years
  • Believes and practices the power of prayer and is passionate about creating a congregational culture of prayer
  • A passion for evangelism with gifts and skills necessary for evangelizing and equipping others to follow Jesus
  • The ability to teach and inspire others to follow Christ faithfully and to grow in their faith continually
  • Experience working with a multi-generational and multi-ethnic congregation

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual leadership to church members through prayer, counseling, admonishment, and visitation
  • Prepare weekly sermons
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan with the leadership team
  • Preach and conduct worship services
  • Interpret biblical scripture for the congregation
  • Identify and disciple potential leaders in the church
  • Provide administrative leadership, including the supervision of paid and volunteer staff members
  • Provide care and counseling to church members and assist them in crisis situations
  • Officiate at special services, such as baptisms, weddings and funerals
  • Be flexible- job hours are a bit irregular, because you must divide your time between conducting worship services, attending social events at the church and completing administrative duties

Additional job responsibilities may include:

  • Have an understanding of the financial health and situation of the church
  • Overseeing management of all areas of the congregation's ministry
  • Supporting, overseeing and evaluating congregation staff
  • Holding regular staff meetings to coordinate ministries
  • Ensuring church facilities are functioning and operating correctly
 

Compensation

The total compensation package for this position is $75,000 - $100,000.
