The Morning News Anchor requires the proven skill to enterprise stories, seek out and interview relevant individuals, edit audio and then write compelling, factual, grammatically correct, and ready-for-air news copy. In addition, an Anchor may be asked to work outside of the newscasts to produce long-form reports or features to be utilized throughout the broadcast day. Anchors are expected to adhere to strict journalistic standards. This position works closely with a Co-Anchor, News Editor, and Executive Producer and, as a team, shares the same goal of delivering timely, engaging, and audience-centered news content.
